YNAB version 4 features uses Cloud Sync. Any changes you make to your budget will automatically update on both the computer and phone app. All you need is connectivity to the internet and a free Dropbox account. Don't worry if you're out or range of an internet connection, all transactions will be updated when you are.
Your data is kept confidential than an international spy unless you decide to share it with others. Data sent from any of your devices uses the same encryptions banks do.
